Corporate Social Responsibility

Because talent shouldn't depend on where you start.

IGC's CSR programme works to put quality assessment, mentorship, and learning resources within reach of students who need them most — regardless of school, board, region, or family income.

Section 01 — Our Commitment

Access shouldn't be the exception.

IGC was built on the idea that a student's potential shouldn't be limited by the school they attend, the board they follow, or the resources their family can afford. Our CSR programme extends that same idea beyond our core exam and assessment work, into direct support for students, teachers, and schools who face real barriers to opportunity.

Every initiative below is run in-house or with vetted school and NGO partners, and reviewed each year against the outcomes it was meant to deliver.

  • Who we serveStudents from under-resourced schools, first-generation learners, and families for whom exam or coaching fees are a genuine barrier.
  • What we doFee waivers, scholarships, free study material, teacher training, and career-guidance outreach.
  • How it's fundedA share of registration revenue, matched by corporate and individual sponsorships.
  • Where we workGovernment and low-fee private schools, largely across West Bengal, with select outreach in other states.
  • Who's involvedIGC staff, volunteer mentors, and partner schools and NGOs on the ground.

Section 02 — Focus Areas

Where we put our effort.

Five programmes, each aimed at a different barrier between a student and their potential.

01

Fee Waivers & Scholarships

Free or subsidised registration for students who qualify, on request or via partner schools.

02

Rural & Under-served Outreach

Bringing the exam and its resources to schools outside major cities.

03

Digital Literacy Drives

Basic computer and internet-skills sessions for first-time digital learners.

04

Teacher Training Workshops

Assessment-design and mentoring workshops for partner-school teachers.

05

Career Guidance Camps

One-day camps introducing Class 8–10 students to career paths and next steps.

Schools and NGOs can nominate students or host a camp — see the Partner With Us section below.

Section 03 — On the Ground

Some of the work so far.

Alongside the exam itself, IGC runs community events in and around our Patuli neighbourhood — pairing festivals and sport with study material for local children.

More photos and events are added here as they happen — get in touch if you'd like IGC at your school or neighbourhood event.

Crime Investigation Board (Trust)

Our on-ground CSR outreach — camps, drives, and school visits — is carried out in association with the Crime Investigation Board (Trust), an All India Special Crime Investigation Force body. Their local presence and vetting help us reach genuine under-resourced schools and neighbourhoods safely and responsibly.

Section 04 — Schools & NGOs

Partner with us on the ground

If you run a school or NGO working with under-resourced students, we'd like to hear from you.

  • Nominate students for fee-waived registration
  • Host a career-guidance camp or teacher-training workshop
  • Become a standing outreach partner for future cycles

Section 04 — Individuals & Corporates

Sponsor a student or a programme

Sponsorships fund fee waivers, study material, and outreach camps directly — every rupee goes to a named programme.

  • Sponsor a fixed number of student fee waivers
  • Fund a teacher-training workshop or career camp
  • Volunteer as a mentor for guidance sessions
